Memorial Weekend

A time to remember those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom ! I do so appreciate our American soldiers for all that they have done and are still doing ! My son-in-law was in Iraq for over a year , and my daughter is in the National Guards !!

I was on Can I Be Pretty In Pink blog this AM checking on Deena's status with her battle with breast cancer, she had a post for Vintage Trifles first official giveaway , it is just fabulous !! It is titled "Miss Liberty ", so go check it out yourself ! All of her artwork is amazing !!

Wedding Bells in the Air !!!

Just a quick post to let you know that Cottage Style has a blog and you should go check it out !!

Just for Weddings ! Who does not just love all the sweet things that go with weddings and the decor , trims, dress, decorations, and more !! After being a wedding coordinator for over 10 years , it does bring back a lot of good memories of all the weddings I did !! I am working on some sweet little Wedding Dresses just for Cottage Style , and I will post a photo when I get them done !!

How adorable !! Just had to share a photo of the new addition to our family , well actually my daughter & her husband just got a new little puppy !! A mini Chihuahua, so tiny and little! It follows them where ever they go and falls asleep in their arms if they hold it ! It is so tiny ! She always wanted a Chihuahua growing up and me being the mean mother would never let her get one ( we already had three cats ) ! So now she has one !! Just had to shrare the cuteness !

Prayer

As we all know life can get so busy at times and so overwhelming with all of life's issues that we neglect the most important things that we should be doing ! As the mother of six children ( yes ..I said six) there is always something going on ! They are all grown , but as a mother they are always in our hearts and prayers !

Class

Last week I spent the afternoon at a home for troubled girls. It is a home for girls that have either been in trouble with the law or problems at home . I was asked to share some crafts with them as it was their spring break and it would help break up the long days for those that were there .

I decided to make some magnets and necklaces. Something that young girls can use ! I started with bottle caps and glass marbles , they could make these into either a magnet or necklace , using an image and other finds and sealing it with Diamond Glaze. Also had the dominoes and wood scrabble pieces that we also put various images and colors on and topping off with the diamond glaze again for a finished look to their art projects. Photos are of some of my examples I had brought along. They all seemed to enjoy the afternoon of creating and was just as much fun for me to share with them !

Etsy Handmade Wedding

Today my article for the Handmade Wedding series is up ! You will have to go check it out ! What is more fabulous than a wedding and all the planning and effort going into one very important day ! I was the Wedding Coordinator for our church for over ten years and had seen every type of wedding ! And oh the things that go on !! Some times I had thought I should write a book about all the happenings that would go on , the sweet things that would take place and also standing in between a disagreement !
