Tutorial on Making a Wall Paper Shoe

Gather your supplies:
wall paper shoe ( available in my Etsy shop also )
glue ..I like clear tacky glue
ribbons , lace, buttons , embelishments of choice
Various papers .. I use crepe paper
German glass glitter
thread & needle
clothespins


Next , if you want to have a gathered crepe paper trim , add that first ! Gather with needle and thread , then glue on the backside.
Hold into place with a clothespin while it dries !

Next I cut out of brown craft paper ( or you can use any kind of paper) the same shoe design , and hand stich it all around the shoe , leaving the top of the shoe open

Next comes the fun part of embelishing your shoe.. I took a small piece of wired edge ribbon and made a circle ..squishing it and glued it to the top !

Next I added some teeny tiny lace along the top of the shoe to finsh off the raw edge and added some pearls for embelishment !
If you want to be able to hang your shoe you can make a loop out of ribbon and attach (glue) to the top of your shoe!If you want to add glitter , I brushed some decopodge medium to the edges of the crepe paper and dusted with silver german glass glitter! Stunning !!

Next I made a tag to insert in the top opening of the shoe ! You can make your own tag , or use a purchased one.

Insert your tag in the top of the shoe & you are done !!! Fun to attach to a gift , use as a card or hang in a special little spot !! You can add text to the shoe for a statement for a friend or yourself . The creating is the fun part !

It will most of all be centered around my parents who are 88 and 95 !! They still live in their own home , but also presents some challenges ! This was their wish so we are trying to respect it ! Hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season and also to take time to remember what the season is for !! Jesus birth & dont let the gifts and long lists get in the way !!

Been awhile !!

I also have been busy making many Christmas lovlies ! I made this little Christmas Scene under a glass dome , I love it because it is all white ( my favorite ) ! I listed this one on Etsy and it sold right away so it is already traveling to it's new owner ! The pink ruffled plate underneath is so soft and sweet !

Life has been so busy , so I have neglected posting anything for awhile ! Do have to share with you a photo of my early Christmas present from my sister. She is a quilter and when she was home for Thanksgiving we exchanged our Christmas gifts early ! This is the sweetest ever shabby linen holder ever ! I love the fabric and everything !

New New New Wall Paper Shoes

New in my Etsy shop ( littlethings1 ) are kits to make your very own wall paper embellished shoes !! How much fun can that be !? You can be as creative as you want . I include six wall paper shoes , two styles of heels and one flat slipper style. Included in the kit also are ribbons , wall paper pieces with florals on to cut out ( that you can glitz up with glitter & such ) , pearls to embellish and trims. The one I have shown as an example has a tea stained tag inside the shoe. I use brown paper for the back and hand stiched the shoes together, that way it forms a pocket to hold a card or treasure !

Making Changes

Yesterday I opened a second Etsy shop !! It will be primarily for all of my supplies , vintage treasures and such ! I am bursting at the seams and I didn't want to overwhelm my other store ( littlethings1 ) with a ton of supplies . So it will take some time to make the transition ! The new shop is SecondTreasures , so stop in for a visit to see what is new!

Front Page Treasury List

My treasury list made it to the front page of Etsy , lasted only a short time !! I love it , but then again I love white !!!
