For a Busy Day .......

Many times when I know that my day is going to be full of too much to do and not enough hours , I love to make this for our evening meal !! I know it may sound crazy , but I love it !!

In your crock pot put a beef roast , one jar of salsa ( 16 oz ) and one can of coke !!! Okay ...now you are thinking ..gross.....but trust me , it is fabulous !! I make sure it cooks all day ( I cook mine on high ) and it is so tender and falls apart . The flavor is great , we put the meat on tortilla's and add cheese , sour cream and any other extras you want ! So , try it and leave me a comment if you do and let me know what you think of it !!!

Spring is on it's way...so here is a photo of one of my spring decorations in my home. Some little treasures under a glass dome. Iam so ready for nice weather and to have open windows and listen to the birds sing !

Sweetness in the mail !

How much fun can it be to go to your mail box & there is an unexpected box , just waiting for you !! Opened it up & to my surprise it was an adorable parcel from Kristin at My Polka Dot World ! She had mailed out a sweet little valentine that she created . Kristin had a blog challenge to send her Valentine photos , so I did !! Sweet little valentine came packaged in a little container making it so special !! Thanks Kristin !

Simple and easy !

Simple and easy treat to create in no time !! It was my son-in-law's birthday today & everyone was over ! I know he loves these and none of us really like cake ! So I thought I would share this quick little treat with you !

All you need is the biscuits that come in a "can" that you crack open ... and a package of cream cheese ! Take one biscuit & form around about a tablespoon of cream cheese and pinch it so it covers all of the cream cheese . Bake in the oven till they are lightly browned. Let them cool and then frost with a powdered sugar frosting ..I use butter ( melted) with a tiny bit of milk and almond extract which is a must for these .

They are ever so yummy & look great too !! Hope you enjoy making them sometime soon !!

Have a Heart !!

February is fast approaching & with that , everyone is thinking Valentines day !!! One day a year to show someone you care for them or love them !!! I think it should be everyday myself !!! Anyway I was going through some of my stash of vintage treasures and found this vintage valentine , I thought the graphics were so adorable !! This card was sent by my dad & his brother to my mother and her sister ( before they were married ) , so... this means this card has to be very old as my dad is 96 this month & my parents did marry & are still together all these years !!

I have been creating several styles of hearts for my Etsy shop and will post a few photos here also !! I love vintage looking hearts and softer colors , so it is very rare for me to use red !!! Hope you love them !!
