Fun with Gelli Printing Plates

Having fun with my Gelli Printing Plates ! I love this new product !!! I purchased mine at Altered Pages and can be found here .The other day I was "playing" with it and wanted to create some tags.I covered my plate with acylic paints and then used various rubber stamps, die cuts and my Brushsticks ! All I can say about the Brushsticks is if you dont have any.....get some ! I have used them for many things , but they are excellent to use on the Gelli Plate !

One tag I used my birdcage die from Altered Pages. I really like these dies, they cut wonderful ! Okay....so I layed the paper die I had cut out on my Gelli Plate , then lifted it off and , a fabulous impression for my tags !

 I am all about layers and worn look so this works well for that ! On this tag I also stamped with

some stamps . I empssed the word "DREAM" with clear emossing powder, also a background stamp of dots, and an ever so tiny bird stamp !! I embellished it with some adorable fabric rose ribbon on the bottom that I sprayed with a glimmer spray !

I love how it turned out with an old worn look !!

It is already May , thoughts of flowers butterfly's and soft colors ! I made some spring tags !Using some of the great products from Altered Pages !

Using a die cutting machine such as the Zing , cut a tag from colored card stock , about 6 1/4 by 3 1/4 " . Using card stock of color choice emboss with embossing folder , I used dots folder, then cut out a butterfly shape of your choice with die machine or by hand.

Using Versa Mark stamp pad stamp image of your choice on tag , then using clear embossing powder and heat set . Using stamp pad of choice and a inking tool ink portions of tag with at least two colors

Add your floral image ( Klein Postcards ) with edges distressed and inked, using mini clear Squares adhere your image on tag .

Choose your Edges Mini Boarder's and cut desired size , then ink edges and if large enough stamp a sentiment on it. Adhere with Mini Clear Squares.Using Glimmer Mist or any other glitter product spray your paper florals and when dry add them to your tag where you like , layering the paper flowers and adding a half pearl in center of each flower. Add your butterfly , you can also ink the butterfly for a more distressed look and also brings out the embossing more.

Postcard Journal & More !

Sorry for so long in between posts !!! Life , some days I think I will catch up & boom ...something happens to put you behind again ! I have been working on my taxes ..........ugh , will say no more !I have been working on a lot of projects , will share some of them with you today !  I have a new kit on Altered Pages , an altered "book" with a Paris Fashion Theme ( above photo )!!

 This is a little journal I made , very quick little journal to make using Postcards from Altered Pages , I love the postcards , they are heavy enough to use for a journal page and large enough to journal in , yet not super huge ! I think it would be great to use as a "card" for someone , dual purpose I guess ! I will post directions later on how I created it !

The Lazy Days of Summer .....NOT

It has not been the lazy days of summer here ! Seems like so many projects to do and get done , there is no time for being lazy !! Still trying very hard on getting a lot of things made for Junk Fest sale coming up in September, and it will be here before we know it !!

Some tags I made , using several techniques to create , ran them through the cuttlebug, embossed , distressed ect !

This last week I got new shingles put on my roof , not exactly exciting but something needed ! But I did have them install a skylight in my bathroom also , decided it was a good time to have done while doing the roof !! No photo of that right now , still more to do in that room !!  I got a new phone this week , a Droid ! A lot of fun getting use to a new phone , but will be nice to have Internet all the time !!! I have kept putting it off and finally took the plunge !

Summertime !

How the days fly by and it has been over a month since my last post ! I need to get much better at this !!! I have been creating many new things and will be listing them on Etsy today and tomorrow. I designed a Posie Pin using very sheer fabric , I hand painted the fabric for a more one of a kind look and to add softness to the look ! Also had to make some tags as I have a zillion stamps and I need to use them & use them ! The tags were made using my Cavallini rubber stamp set French Par Avion set ! I think they are fabulous stamps! I have also made some pin cushions , the one photo is a vintage little pedistal dish in a fabulous green color and I used a wonderful print and topped it with one of my most favorite vintage buttons , a pink button in a "cup" shape !
