Headdress and Crowns !

On Altered Pages there is a challenge up for making a head dress ! I could not decide on just what to make ....so I made two !! I made one that is more like a crown and another that is more like a head dress !
The crown I made using an embroidery hoop as the base  ! I covered the hoop with some vintage greenish ribbon to cover the wood , I added layers for my crown. One layer is made from wire mesh that I cut out and finished the edges with glass glitter. The other layer is vintage wallpaper. I embellished with various ribbon, lace and papers. I added some wired beads to the wire mesh for a little pizzaz ! This "crown" is my headdress I submitted for the voting on the Altered Pages blog !
And I decopodged an image from AlteredPages , inked edges and then added some embellishments !
The QUEEN was stamped using a stamp set from Altered Pages also , you can find that set here !
This headdress I created , I used a vintage wire form from a hat that I had , it was covered at one time with adorable little flowers that I used for another project ( the hat was not in perfect condition ) !
I had some fabulous green wired ribbon that I attached to the wire hat base , then added a lot of embellishments ! Some very vintage sequin trim , I topped it with velvet ribbon and then made paper dots from vintage book and added a green rhinestone !
On the side I created a cluster using some peacock feathers , an image from Altered Pages , a flying bird that I added smootch to to give a little glimmer , which does not show up in the photos !
Using a large bead , also from Altered Pages , you can find here ! The clear bead I have dangling for a little added sparkle !
On the opposite side I have more beads dangling for a little color and pizazz !
Was fun creating these !
