I have been trying to get some of my Christmas decorations up ! I am scaling back from what I use to do , and this year my hope is to focus even more on what Christmas is really about ...the birth of our Lord & Savior ! This is from TruthMedia , a women's daily devotional , "Many are unfamiliar with the fact that our word "holiday" comes from an old English word whose original meaning was Holy Day . Though our secular society seeks to drain all that is holy from Christmas leaving little more than tinsel and toys, eggnog and elves, we can bring back a sense of sacredness to the holiday. Hope everyone is having a creative and warm day !!!
