Sweetness in the mail !

How much fun can it be to go to your mail box & there is an unexpected box , just waiting for you !! Opened it up & to my surprise it was an adorable parcel from Kristin at My Polka Dot World ! She had mailed out a sweet little valentine that she created . Kristin had a blog challenge to send her Valentine photos , so I did !! Sweet little valentine came packaged in a little container making it so special !! Thanks Kristin !

Have a Heart !!

February is fast approaching & with that , everyone is thinking Valentines day !!! One day a year to show someone you care for them or love them !!! I think it should be everyday myself !!! Anyway I was going through some of my stash of vintage treasures and found this vintage valentine , I thought the graphics were so adorable !! This card was sent by my dad & his brother to my mother and her sister ( before they were married ) , so... this means this card has to be very old as my dad is 96 this month & my parents did marry & are still together all these years !!

I have been creating several styles of hearts for my Etsy shop and will post a few photos here also !! I love vintage looking hearts and softer colors , so it is very rare for me to use red !!! Hope you love them !!

Hearts Valentines Love !!!

Hearts , valentines and love have been on my mind ... have been creating several types of hearts.Some primitive looking , some just cute !

Wool heart is vintage cream wool , covered in vintage white and cream buttons.
Vintage cabinet card , altered with vintage typewriter keys , brass bird , german glass glitter. Frosted cookies are muslin hearts , stained and painted and "iced ".

More Things Made !!

I finished some more projects !! First is an old wooden hanger that I painted and distressed, then hung five different hearts from it , using pink rick rack ! Then I also made a pillow with a sheer front and placed a Valentine hang tag in the pocket and pinned a valentine on the front with an old vintage earing made into a pin ! This pillow hangs from sheer ribbon. I need to clean house and make food !!! New Years Eve tonight !! I pray that 2007 will be a new and wonderful year ahead for everyone.
