100 years old !!

I made this card today , it is for my dad ! This coming week he will be 100 years old ! It is so hard to believe that he is 100 ! My parents live in their home still and have a live in caregiver. My dad was a farmer and he loved every aspect of farming . He also loved working with wood and creating furniture ,frames and all kinds of wood treasures !

I made this card with Glitz Paper from Altered Pages . Love the paper and all of the designs ! Be sure to check out the web site for all kinds of paper craft goodies. There are kits ,stamps,collage sheets,tools and embellishments !

The card has die cut frames for the center , I stamped & embossed on the top one. The numbers are also grunge paper die cuts and sprayed with Glimmer Mist !

Can You Imagine !

Has been busy around here , the weather has been somewhat horrid ....but I have to say I am thankful we didn't get a ton of snow , just enough to do some snow removal ! On Monday it was my dad's birthday , he turned 98 ! Hard to imagine ! My parents still live in their own home ( my mom is 90 ) they have been sweethearts since they were young and still continue to hold hands ! It is so sweet to see two people still loving each other after all those years. My dad was a farmer all his life , he so enjoyed it! I am very fortunate to have has a father that was always kind and giving.

Birthday's

Has been a very busy time with birthday's !! My mother turned 89 over the weekend , my youngest daughter has a birthday this week and is also moving into their new home , moving is a lot of work , but fun to move into a new place ! Also her daughter , my youngest granddaughter turns one this week also !! So needless to say it is party time !! I was checking out this new feature Polyvore that Kristin at My Polka Dot World had on her blog for creating some fun things ! So you will have to take the time and explore it and see what you can come up with !! I went crazy with the birthday theme !! Okay , you cold spend a lot of time exploring it , but is fun !!

Simple and easy !

Simple and easy treat to create in no time !! It was my son-in-law's birthday today & everyone was over ! I know he loves these and none of us really like cake ! So I thought I would share this quick little treat with you !

All you need is the biscuits that come in a "can" that you crack open ... and a package of cream cheese ! Take one biscuit & form around about a tablespoon of cream cheese and pinch it so it covers all of the cream cheese . Bake in the oven till they are lightly browned. Let them cool and then frost with a powdered sugar frosting ..I use butter ( melted) with a tiny bit of milk and almond extract which is a must for these .

They are ever so yummy & look great too !! Hope you enjoy making them sometime soon !!
